sponsor a refugee child to come to the corbett peace village

We are working with SOAR (Sponsors Organized to Assist Refugees) to welcome refugee children in Portland to attend the Corbett Peace Village Camp August 7-10, 2017.  Many of these children have arrived in Portland after school got out for the summer, and so have not met other kids in the area.  We are delighted to welcome them and give these kids an opportunity to get to know other children their age.  As these families are struggling to make ends meet, we are inviting them free of charge.  However, the camp has many costs associated with it, including materials, food, transportation and stipends for the staff.  Please help us to sponsor a refugee child.  The usual cost for the camp is $165.  Please help in any way you can.
